How to
Fix a Cheating Relationship
“
Honesty
is such a lonely word… Everyone is so untrue…Honesty is
hardly ever heard…And mostly what I need from you.”
No wonder
this 1978 Billy Joel song became an instant hit because of
the poignant message it has brought to countless hurting
people, who have been at one point in their lives, cheated
and deceived. Loving someone in good times is natural; you
actually do not even have to think about it, it comes so
easily and spontaneously. On the other hand, loving
someone in bad times is one of the hardest things to do, a
major challenge to most couples. Well, it is a choice that
one makes and perhaps along with life’s bittersweet phases,
many have chosen not to love through bad times, hence the
failure and doom of most
relationships.
Along
with incompatibility, psychological incapacity, immaturity,
financial concerns and other common issues, CHEATING has
become the central cause of most broken relationships. With
this reality, does your relationship have to end because of
a cheating partner? The answer may not be necessarily yes.
It can also be NO, only if you are willing to give it a
chance. Relationships do not need to end because of
dishonesty and cheating. There are several ways on how to
fix a cheating relationship. Although it takes a lot of
sacrifice, hard work, patience, understanding and mutual
respect, recovery from a distasteful relationship smeared by
cheating can be well on its way.
You might
ask, “Why does my partner cheat?” Is it something that you
lack that he might need? Is it because of his raging and
uncontrollable hormones that need instant gratification? Is
there an emotional baggage that is pulling down the
relationship? Are there people standing in the way? The
question can go on and on and yet the relationship will
remain tainted with deceit and reluctance to become
truthful.
Unload
Past Misdemeanors
You
cannot go on in a relationship if you continue to carry a
heavy load. Past emotional baggage can pull down a
relationship. Unload these anchor-like chains and get away
from past mistakes and misdemeanors. Learn, unlearn and
relearn.
Decide To
Be Transparent
The
willingness to be truthful and transparent is a good start.
Learn to turn away completely from pretentious lifestyle.
Your partner will be able to accept the real you when you
get rid of deceitful ways.
Work Hard
To Change for the Better
How to
fix a cheating relationship will all depend on how hard, one
or both will work to change for the
better.
